There are many wolves in Norse mythology and culture.  Odin’s two wolves, Geri and Freki, are among the more famous ones.  They represent protection, strength and loyalty.  If Vikings saw a wolf before or during a battle it meant Odin was nearby. The Vikings would wear a wolf tooth as a token of divine protection and divine intervention in their lives.
