In Norse mythology, the three interlocking horns, referred to as Odin’s horns, are full of symbolism.
The three main realms in the afterlife are represented by Odin’s three horns.
Each of the three horns also symbolize the three main substances of this world:  water, earth, and the sky.  In some Norse writings the three horns are associated with our three worlds: the physical, the spiritual, and the celestial (or heavenly) world.
Furthermore, a triangle is the strongest architectural structure.  Viking buildings often had triangles in their main framings.
This powerful symbolism of the number three was again found in the Trinity of God in Christianity.
